Capacity building
Training programs and executive briefings for those seeking clarity on current world affairs. More clarity equals better decision making.
Pax33 designs and delivers training programs for foreign ministry legal departments, diplomatic services, and the legal teams of state-owned entities. The practice also conducts executive briefings for boards and senior officials on the questions of public international law most relevant to their operations.

Programs for foreign ministries and diplomatic services
Programs range from short-form briefings on specific topics — e.g., treaty interpretation, jurisdictional questions, strategic planning before international courts — to extended modules on the procedure and practice of international dispute settlement. Programs are designed for the institutional reality of the client and delivered in English, Spanish, or French.

Executive briefings for boards and senior management
Briefings for boards, general counsel, and senior management cover the questions of international affairs, foreign policy and international law most likely to reach commercial operations: sanctions regimes, sovereign risk, climate and global commons obligations, and the geopolitical conditions that shape and impact cross-border activity.
A limited number of career counselling engagements with younger lawyers and officials.
Pax33 also accepts a small number of conversations each year with younger professionals considering a career in international affairs and more specifically in public international law. Likewise, mid-level to senior professionals seeking lateral moves in the industry may also reach out. These are conducted on a personal basis by the Managing Director, separate from the firm's institutional mandates, and are best initiated by direct correspondence.
